Teenage Dogs

I'm sure this isn't the first time i've spoken about this but there has been a recent increase in the number of dogs in Hong Kong Dog Rescue - a peak in the number of teenage dogs that have been abandoned.

Just like humans, dogs go through a 'puberty' process where we change from kids to adults. And just like humans our behaviour change and what most owners don't understand is this, which is the reason they abandon their dogs for 'naughty' behaviour when their obedient little dog becomes a little bit rebelious. And again, just like humans, once this period of puberty is over they become a calm mature adult so why not stick with your dog through a short period of time and be understanding instead of leaving them on the streets?

HKDR

I'm sure none of you would think that it is unusual for me to stalk the Hong Kong Dog Rescue Website almost everyday.

But one thing that really pains me - to see the number of pages jump from 18 pages to 35 pages or so.

Why. Why must you abadon your dogs. If i had all the resources in the world, one of the things i'd do would defeinitely be getting these dogs into a good home. 

Horses

Horses don't deserve to be caught in the polluted traffics.

 IT hurts me to see horses pulling carriages on the street, clip-clopping while dragging a heavy carriage carrying a well fed family of 4.

Stick to public buses, trains and cars. Horses aren't means of transportation anymore, it's the 21st century, we have improved transportation methods, we don't need horses to carry us. 

Rates

There are around 7 billion people on earth. 7 billion who eat- not everyone gets food.

Here's the catch - Over 150 billion animals are slaughtered each year.

There are people who don't eat eat; babies who live on milk, vegans and vegetarians

It's scary how the slaughter rate of animals is over 21 times of the number of people on east.

There are people who are although not so well off and barely scraping by who take in homeless animals to take care of them

There are also people who have mountains of money to spare who never give a second glance to a poor skeletal puppy on the streets.

Shame on those who have no kindness in them. 

Factory Farming

Open your eyes to cruelty. Stop being ignorant. Baby animals; pigs, chickens, cows. They all feel pain during farming procedures.

I'm sure that if you were there, watching workers prepare their death blow, you would be able to see the agony and pain etched in their eyes, and unless you don't have a conscience, you would tear up, wishing for a escape route for them.

Stop factory farming!

Vegan

Vegan. That's great. For humans, yes. But no NOT for dogs!

Why.would.you.force.your.dog.to.eat.vegan?!

Dogs are carnivores. By forcing them to eat vegan, you're treating them cruelly! Please please please treat your pets right. Dogs would prefer meat over anything vegan. Definitely. Please treat your pets right. 

Cruelty

Cruelty is prominent in the world than a lot of people think. But once you start noticing little things- animals suffering and things human do to animals that are torturous and unnecessary, you begin to think differently.

Animal testing is something i find really wrong. If a product may be unsafe to us, then it's definitely harmful to animals. There is absolutely no reason for companies to test on animals. If they can afford to develop new harmful materials, they can afford to create robots or something similar to test these products on. 

Enough is Enough

Enough is Enough.

Animal Testing. Animal Abuse. Slaughterhouses. The list is endless. What is wrong with people? Even the meat-lovers, seeing pictures of abused and mistreated animals merely give a concerned opinion. But do they stop eating meat? No. Although i wouldn't blame them. Some meat eaters do indeed support animal rights. So this isn't a post about people who eat meat.

Open your eyes and look at the unimaginable agony animals have to go through.

There's one thing i really don't understand. How people can look into cute innocent eyes of animals and still don't feel guilty hurting them.

Respect to our Comrade

This is a woman who died protesting for animal rights. This is a woman who we should all look up to as a role model. This woman is Jill Phipps.

Trying to stop a truck from carrying calves into Coventry Airport, this woman tried to protest. She was crushed beneath the wheels of the truck. The police on duty gave permission to the trucks to continue on even though people were sitting on the road protesting.

Whale Cruelty

Whale bacon, Whale curry, Whale hamburgers?
What is wrong with the japanese? (don't get me wrong, i have nothing against them, but in the matters of whaling, yes i have something against those who whale)

Whales are already endangered! Please encourage people from even going near these products! We do not need to make meat out of these poor animals.

This..is a very special post

WHAT?! This is appalling. Way too appalling.
It really makes me wonder whether i'm part of mankind. How can people be so inhumane?

Ohio County, Indiana, is home to an extraordinarily cruel event called "Snapperfest"—next scheduled for this Saturday, August 20! Every year at the Campshore Campground, wild-caught snapping turtles endure terrible violence at the hands of participants. The frightened animals are grabbed by their tails and repeatedly slammed to the ground. Their heads are yanked from their shells, and they are then swung around until "contestants" are able to wrap their fists around the animals' necks.

STOP THIS EVENT!

PETA, without success, appealed to the compassion of the Ohio County commissioners. Now it's your turn. Please contact the commissioners and the campground, as well as Rising Sun Council Members, and politely ask that they do the right thing and replace this cruel event. And please spread this alert far and wide.

Fur Fur Fur

Once again, i cannot emphasize how extremely cruel it is to wear fur. Yet i can't help noticing the large numbers of people wearing big big fur coats, especially since it's winter. It disgusts me. It really does.

I wouldn't try to be extremely biased here. In a way i really do understand why fur clothing are fashion statements. But it really horrifies me how we're at a state in civilization where we have many other types of clothes to keep us warm. We're not cavemen and we do not require the skin of benign dead animals to keep warm and alive. This is the same as leather, although i highly doubt preventing the use of leather would be very effective as most of the designer brands and so forth use leather to produce their products. I, however, avoid leather and all kind of animal cruelty related products like they're the plague. You should too.

Of course, i do see a point why people use leather. We raise and slaughter cow for meat, and as it is impossible to make every single one in this world a vegetarian, making leather from cow makes full use of its existence. But fur coats from tiny cute furry animals such as foxes, minks and rabbits? Really?

Synthetic fur exists for a reason. Man-made cruelty free fur. Just as soft and as luxurious. And the upside? No living thing is killed!

Abusing and murdering innocent animals for the sake of vanity products is absolutely unnecessary and plain horrifying and a disgrace to the human race.

China disgusts me

If you're smuggling animals across borders to protect them, or to keep them. actually no. not keep them. wild animals belong in the wild. and if you try to contain them in an enclosed area, i assure you the result is not going to be pretty.

But what is with people in China? Don't you people feel guilty eating, swallowing, chewing, poor little animals who are on the verge of extinction? They're being protected for a reason! So it's absolutely pathetic that you're eating something so rare and precious.

And as i'm not in China, nor do i belong there, i'm totally free to criticize the government while those environmentalist in China are unable to. So there. 

Abandoning and Adopting

Pets are not toys. You don’t just discard them when they get old, or get bored of them. Many people don’t think twice before buying a pet. Birds and rodents are left in a filthy cage, left in a corner, forgotten by their owners after a few weeks. Cats are left neglected. The most common animal being exploited are dogs. They, of all pets, need the most care. Many are abandoned or mistreated because they require too much care. Some dogs are chained outdoors, with little protection from the weather. Many lack exercise because their owners are too lazy to bring them out for walks or don’t want to get wet due to the rainy weather.

Report any type of animal abuse you witness and try to stop it. Adopt animals from nearby Dog Rescues or the SPCA instead of buying new pets from a pet shop. 

Experiment with chemical. But don't touch innocent animals.

The number of animals used for testing is too much to list. Everyday, new drugs, medicines and products are made or created. And how do companies ensure that they won't cause any harm to humans? They test in on animals. Small, sweet, cute little animals.

Why? Animals are also living things. Blood ruins through their veins. The only difference is that they cannot speak in our language, but just because they’re not like humans, it doesn’t mean that they can’t feel pain or they can’t suffer. Animals are tested, resulting in injuries. They are then left to die slowly, killed or used for further testing. They don’t deserve this. 

Never Trust Kids With Fireworks

Don't understand how inhumane people can be. What did the dog even do to you? And now look what you've done to him/her!

So a bunch of children put firecrackers in his mouth, taped it shut and let them go off. Afterwards, they threw him into a river. As you can see, his muzzle is completely destroyed, but still alive.

There's only so much pain a living thing can endure, so he was put to sleep. This is what we have to live with. Humans capable of such despicable and cruel acts. Especially to innocent and harmless creatures.

What In The World Do People Think?

I would like people to take a few minutes to see how absolutely heartless some people can be.
I was absolutely disgusted. Appalled.
And i think the officer should be shot.
