Dog Whispers

I saw this TV show on television; Dog Whispers

You guys should check it out!

It's hosted by this professional who helps out people with misbehaving dogs.

I watch it everyday now! It's very interesting and you do learn a lot from experience.

No matter how problematic a dog can be, they're still living things so treasure them and don't abandon them because they're more sensitive to the environment!

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

I really approve of this movie. It's about a laboratory testing an Alzheimer's cure on apes. I won't spoil anything here but it's a really good movie. This just shows how we shouldn't test on animals.

Personal Post

I've been making this animal cruelty story book for young children with my best friend and with whatever art skills i possess. It's almost done! The first people to read it will be my sisters!

Anger

Seeing pictures of teenagers torturing animals for fun, companies testing animals for beauty products, celebrities flaunting around with their fur coats really really makes me sick.

Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Rats and Mice

Also known as Rodents.

Now, i don't know much about these animals, but i've had friends who had rodents as pets. I've also experienced a somewhat terrifying situation back in primary school. It was Pet Day and we all brought our pets to school. One of my friends brought her hamsters. Her pregnant hamster and the father. And yes, during the break we had, the pregnant mother gave birth! And the father tried to eat the hamsters. That was extremely scary and somewhat disturbing to the young and innocent me. I saw a mini-sausage-like object inside the father's mouth, and yes, two tiny legs were dangling out. It was the most disturbing experience in my life.

Lesson? Never keep hamster parents with their babies because they eat them. Yuck.

Marley & Me

I just reread the book. It's so touching i cried. Everytime i read it or watch the movie. I cry. And i don't even know the dog. But it's just so sad. I can't even bear think about the future of my own dog. No. Just no.

Feelings

Perhaps some people just won't feel the strong "against animal cruelty" feeling like i do, but i know that a lot of people do, and my regular views do too, i'm sure of that. Everytime the subject of animal comes up, i get excited and passionate, but when it is about animal abuse or animal cruelty or something of that sort, my anger fires up.

I really hate living in a world how there are people who get satisfaction from hurting creatures that are vulnerable and less strong. And yes, this applies to bullying too, and as a victim of bullying, i can say that it is one of the worst experiences in life and i would never want that to happen ever again. Animals are beautiful. They're easy to bond with. Easy to communicate with even though we don't speak a common language.

No one likes to feel helpless. When you're helpless, you try to hold on to someone who could help you. Same goes to animals. But the thing is, we can speak up, we can fight, but those poor little creatures can't.

Snowy

It's my dog's birthday today. Yup, December 31st. So it's pretty easy to keep track of his age. My dog is a Pomeranian, a white Pomeranian, hence the name Snowy.

Personal View

the heartache i get from looking at animals looking back at me from their big round eyes..is probably nothing compared to the heartache they feel from looking out of the cage

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

I quite liked that movie. It shows us that we should not mistreat our animals and if we do there will be chaos.

Dogs

I took a few pictures of the dogs at my local dog rescue today, and there was a SUPER CUTE dog today at the rescue (she's new) and the owner of HKDR, Sally, even let me name her! I named her Lolly! She is the most adorable dog i've ever met!

I took some pictures (some are taken by my friends) and i'll put some up! THEY ARE ALL SO CUTE! WHY WOULD YOU ABANDON THEM?

Choke Chains

Training. There are plenty of ways, and choke chains are definitely not the way! I've never seen a choke chain in a pet shop, perhaps because owners going into business loving what they do and wouldn't sell products that would harm animals.

From my perspective, i think owners who use choke chains should have some kind of choke chain, such as an electrical collar around their necks. Give them a dose of their own medicine.

Genders

Excuse me.

But animals have genders too. Please do not refer to my dog as "the thing" or "it". He is MALE and therefore you will refer to him by his name and his gender.

thankyouforyourcooperation

Sigh

Everytime i see abuse pictures. I just want to go to the animal, rescue it, give it a hug and tell it that everything will be okay and from now on it will be treated well.

And then i go find my dog and give him a big hug.

Anger

I've been surfing the web and the people who seem to enjoy the pain of animals makes me so sick.

HOW CAN PEOPLE GET PLEASURE FROM CAUSING AGONY AND PAIN TO ANIMALS?

No, i don't mean things like..fishing, but hanging dogs, beating cats out of fun? WHY do they do this? These pictures of people taking pictures with their thumbs up but the animals in the back ground. Dead. It reduced me to tears.

You people are sick. You're not powerful. Killing creatures to feel powerful. No. You're a disgrace to our race. You should not be alive. I will never care for you nor your opinion and i hope no one ever respects you. Someone who kills animals for happiness should not be treated any different from serial killers.

Casey

It so happens that there is this dog named Casey. A mongrel, cream colored. A beautiful dog. He was classified as a "red" dog as he was mistreated and has a very damaged leg. He gets into fights with other dogs and hardly get along with people as he is snappy and rather aggressive. I honestly don't see a problem with it.

I noticed on the sheet of paper that casey didn't get walks at all that day. And when i approached the kennel, he started leaping up and barking. It freaked me out. So i got a strong leash, and i asked a volunteer to help me leash him. This volunteer warned me that he was very strong and i have to be careful with him. And so i did. He tried snapping at me but i didn't let him. I held onto the leash firmly, tore off a few plastic bags in case he needed to poop.

Through the walk, he was very hyper. Trying to run uphill. Actually, it was quite helpful as i was tired from walking the other dogs and having a strong dog drag me uphill was rather helpful. But i had to show him who wwas in control. It wasn't too hard. But it was definitely a good experience.

Helping Out

I've been helping out at a local dog rescue for a few months. I really really enjoy it! The dog smell, the wagging of tails from dogs when they see you. The look of happiness when you groom them. How they enjoy it when you give them a belly rub. How much nicer and happier you feel after cleaning their kennels and seeing that they have a cleaner kennel.

It's BRILLIANT. I love the feeling. I would live in the shelter if i could. The sense of helpfulness cannot be beaten.

I think it's amazing how you get close to a dog after a while, no matter how much they have been mistreated. With patience and rewards. Miracles happen.

Adopt Don't Buy

I personally don't like the idea of buying animals from shops.

  • these animals are bred. they may look cute but what about their parents?
  • they are separated from their parents. how would you feel?
  • bred in quantity and in horrible conditions
  • RETURN policy?! WHAT?!
  • purchasing a life for MONEY? is that how we work now?
  • baby animals suffer psychological problems from being separated from their parents
