To the Sponsors of PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea:
Please withdraw your sponsorship of PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea!
Bishop Desmond Tutu said, “If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.”
As sponsors of the Olympics, you have the power to influence the S. Korean government to end the horrific cruelty that is perpetrated against innocent dogs and cats of South Korea.
Two and a half million South Korean dogs are electrocuted, hanged, or beaten to death each year. They are killed in the cruelest ways imaginable, because many South Koreans believe the insidious myth that the more an animal suffers, the tastier the meat and that the medical properties will be enhanced. Thousands of cats are also slaughtered for soups and so-called “health” tonics. They are thrown into boiling water while still alive.
The practice of eating dogs is not widely accepted in South Korea. It gained popularity after the South Korean War. The practice continues to thrive with the aid of greedy restaurateurs, meat dealers, and butchers.
Over the last decade, many in South Korea have embraced the notion of dogs and cats as animal companions. But we must take action to persuade the South Korean government to legalize a ban on dog and cat meat and forever stop this technically illegal, corrupt, and sordid industry.
It is appalling that dogs and cats should be kept in filthy crates, forced to watch their cage mates being tortured and slaughtered. Eyewitnesses have reported dogs being literally torn apart while still alive, their tormentors saying that the more prolonged the torment of death, the better the taste. This attitude toward any living being is at best unforgivable.
Certain things are more important than money. Standing up for what is right is one. And when you show the world that you stand up for the justice and compassion, your business will grow that much more and most of all, you will gain the respect from the billions of people around the globe.
Thank you!

Ban Killing of Bluefin Tuna

Sign the petition here

Animal Equality has released an undercover investigation revealing the brutal slaughter of bluefin tunas, which takes place each year, between late May and early June, in Carloforte – a city in the district of Carbonia-Iglesias (Sardinia).
The tunas in the Mediterranean Sea are mainly caught by mobile traps, although traditional fixed traps are still used in the ‘tuna slaughter of Carloforte’. The footage reveals the different stages of the slaughter: how the frantic and panicked tunas are stacked on-top of each other, injuring themselves during the capture; and how they are violently struck with harpoons and dragged to the boats, they are then stabbed in the heart and left choking and bleeding to death.
Dr. Lorelei Wakefield veterinarian expert and Founder of University of Pennsylvania ‘Veterinary Animal Welfare Society’, has reviewed the findings and commented:
“Some fish were stabbed deeply in major arteries to bleed them out. Others were simply left to suffocate out of water. None of the tuna died quickly. They all thrashed around in a bloody mess for at least several minutes.”
We are urging the City Council of Carloforte, International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT), European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCE) and the European Parliament to call for the abolition of this cruel practice immediately, and the prohibition of tuna fishing worldwide.

M.A.C Makeup

Do you use cosmetics? Some of my friends use the brand, MAC, a pretty famous cosmetic brand. They have recently been removed from the safe from animal testing list by PETA.

If you use this brand, please stop buying from them because they're testing on animals!!

MAC Cosmetics No Longer Cruelty Free

"So what can you do?
  • If you are concerned about buying animal friendly cosmetics, please no longer purchase MAC items.
  • If you are a cruelty free or animal friendly blogger, please don’t feature MAC on your blog anymore. Please do a post about their change in testing policies and spread the word to your readers!
  • Promote this post on social networking sites to let your friends know!
  • Let your friends who use MAC know about the change!
I also urge you all to consider trying vegan cosmetics brands. There are so many out there who produce amazing products without any harm to animals!

End Factory Farming

It only takes a click!

Factory farming is destroying our environment, our communities, animal welfare, and even our health – at an alarming rate. It is critical that we bring an end to factory farming, to restore a more viable food system and preserve our world.

Factory farms have driven small farms out of business and represent the majority of our food system today. The industry has cleared vast areas of forest and rainforest, producing 18% of all greenhouse gas emissions from animal agriculture alone, wasting food and water resources, and polluting our air and water. On factory farms, animals are also induced to grow bigger, to grow faster, and to produce more than their systems can support, while they are subjected to confinement and painful mutilations. Factory farming practices spread diseases, such as mad cow, swine flu, and various food poisonings, including e-coli and salmonella. Extensive antibiotic use by factory farms creates drug resistant bacteria, which puts human health at risk.

For these reasons, the first National Conference to End Factory Farming brought together individuals and organizations representing the animal protection, health and environmental movements to confront factory farming’s common threats. We seek reform, through consumer education, the Farm Bill and local, state and federal policy change. Together, we urge:

• Food policy and nutrition education that reduces consumption of animal products and increases consumption of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole plant foods – minimizing factory farming’s impact and promoting health.
• Sustainable agriculture practices that lessen resource use, pollution and land degradation.
• Elimination of non-therapeutic antibiotics in animal agriculture.
• Eradication of intensive animal confinement, de-toeing, de-beaking, and tail docking.
• Improved regulation of waste disposal affecting rural communities.

This..is a very special post

WHAT?! This is appalling. Way too appalling.
It really makes me wonder whether i'm part of mankind. How can people be so inhumane?

Ohio County, Indiana, is home to an extraordinarily cruel event called "Snapperfest"—next scheduled for this Saturday, August 20! Every year at the Campshore Campground, wild-caught snapping turtles endure terrible violence at the hands of participants. The frightened animals are grabbed by their tails and repeatedly slammed to the ground. Their heads are yanked from their shells, and they are then swung around until "contestants" are able to wrap their fists around the animals' necks.

STOP THIS EVENT!

PETA, without success, appealed to the compassion of the Ohio County commissioners. Now it's your turnPlease contact the commissioners and the campground, as well as Rising Sun Council Members, and politely ask that they do the right thing and replace this cruel event. And please spread this alert far and wide.

Hong Kong Isn't That Good Either

Please help sign this petition to stop Hong Kong from shipping real live dolphins!

On February 22, 2012, The China Daily News reported that Hong Kong Airlines is profiting from animal cruelty by striking a HK$850,000 deal to fly live dolphins from Japan to Vietnam. Specifically, five Taiji dolphins were transported via cargo flight in "flying coffins" on January 16, 2012. They spent at least 7 hours in this cruel confinement. Dolphins are neither cargo, nor commerce, nor entertainment. Hong Kong Airlines, stop profiting off of animal cruelty!

Save the Marine Creatures

A recent exhibition in a Samoan resort resulted in the captivity of 25 dolphins, they are held in small tanks with barely enough space to move. With this enclosed space the dolphin’s sensitive sonar ricochets off the walls driving them crazy. Marine animals are accustomed to limitless space and freedom, ultimately confining any animal will cause both physical and psychological damage.

Please help sign this petition

"For wild dolphins captivity is torture, their powerful sonar bounces off the walls back at them -- as if they are trapped in an endless house of mirrors. Most die young from stress induced illness, but some even commit suicide. If the wealthy Resorts World Sentosa succeeds in keeping them captive then half the dolphins will die in the first 2 years -- and it will legitimise the widely banned  practice of capturing dolphins in the wild. We can’t let that happen -- let's use our voices to set them free.

Resorts World was forced to abandon plans for a whale shark exhibit two years ago because of the huge outcry that threatened their reputation. Let’s build a massive call now to free these intelligent, beautiful creatures -- and make this a turning point in the fight to end the global wild-dolphin trade. Our petition will be delivered to Resorts World and the media."

Stand On Your Feet and Speak Out

Believe.

We can make a difference. McDonalds, Burger Kings, all these fast food chains. The roots of animal cruelty.

When i suggest going to McDonalds, putting signs outside on their animal abuse or going to their factory farms to help the animals, you might thing it might be going too far. But no. It's not. Economic Damage for their inhumane ways of treating animals. Consequences? Who cares. You're saving the lives of many animals.

We're law abiding people. It may be scary from doing such actions. No please do NOT break the law. But it would make a difference if you tried what you can try.

Someone who sacrifices for such passionate movements is a hero. You have my respect and the respect of many activists.

Our goal? Economic destruction to anyone and everyone who stands in our way.

Our determination will help us. we will be a hurricane. destroying those who try to get in our way.

Animals deserve this.

We will speak out for them.
