Working Animals

Laika was the world's first space traveller. It went on a Russian satellite called Sputnik 2 on November 3rd, 1957.

German shepherds were the first guide dogs, trained by the government to assist blind war veterans

Rats have an extremely good sense of smell. They can detect diseases such as tuberculosis and bladder cancer if you let them sniff laboratory samples. They can diagnose up to 2000 samples and us humans? Only 20.
